Rob Anderson

Rob Anderson, 25 year veteran of the Commodity Markets and President of Andco Investment Services learned the commodity business first hand, as a turkey grower in West Central Minnesota. As a small business owner, Rob discovered that establishing the price of grain in advance was critical to protecting his profit margin and ultimately his business.

Somewhere along the way, spending the day trading commodities became more fun than determining the fate of 100,000 Thanksgiving dinners, so he moved to the other side of the desk and he’s never looked back.

The commodity futures market is going to reflect the impact of world events first, even before consumers are aware of them. It may be a drought in some country, it may be a change in government somewhere, it could be a hurricane that’s affecting the supply of sugar. These are things that directly affect commodity prices, and in so doing, they offer opportunity for the commodity trader.
